ORGANOBALANCE is a company specializing in microbial strain development and screening. As an R&D contractor ORGANOBALANCE develops new biological products in the areas of nutrition, personal care and health care. The company draws on its own collection of microbial strains suitable for food applications and its OASSYS® bioassay systems. In the field of "metabolic engineering" ORGANOBALANCE exploits Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast for synthesis of substances for the industrial and pharmaceutical industry. Fermentation and downstream processes are developed in a pilot scale production facility.
